Deputy Clerk - Full Time
This position is full-time, 40 hours per week. The position requires a thorough knowledge of a wide range of the processes of the Clerk’s Office, including general accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash handling, auditing, and internal and external reporting. These responsibilities require the individual to use sound technical judgment on accounting and financial questions daily. It is also critical that this position understands what information is available to the public and what is confidential. The principal function of an employee in this class is to perform various duties in the Clerk’s office. The work is performed under the supervision of the County Clerk. The principal duties of this class are performed in a general office environment. Applications are due by Friday June 5, 2026
Detention Position
Adams County Sheriff’s Office is currently accepting applications for the Detention Division. Deputies will ensure the basic needs of inmates are being met in a safe and controlled environment. This position will monitor all activity within the jail and respond to situations that arise. Detention officers will be responsible for ensuring the safe transport of inmates. Deputies may be exposed to violent behaviors and to verbal abuse by the inmates.
Patrol Position
Adams County is a community-oriented office seeking motivated, career-minded officers who will be responsible for performing a variety of duties involving the enforcement of state and local laws and ordinances. They will be required to respond to calls of service, conduct criminal and non-criminal investigations; make arrests and to perform other assigned law enforcement and public safety duties. Deputies will be required to conduct investigation of crimes, accidents, enforcing traffic regulations and perform a variety of technical and administrative tasks.
