Emergency Communications Officer
Adams County Sheriff's Office is accepting applications for the position of a Full-time and Part-time Public Safety Communication Officer. This position is required to answer emergency and non-emergency calls for service using a multi-line telephone and 911 system. Monitoring, receiving and transmitting radio traffic to Law Enforcement, Medical and Fire agencies. Applicant needs to be able to work in high stress, fast-paced environment where the ability to multi-task is imperative. They are required to help jail staff when necessary. Written testing, drug testing and/or a background investigation may be conducted. Interviews shall be granted based upon a review of application and supporting documentation. All applicants shall be at least 18 years of age. Additionally, the successful applicant is required to possess a current Idaho driver's license, high school diploma or equivalent/G.E.D. Additional qualifications include the ability to use common computer-based applications e.g. Power Point, Word, Excel, and proprietary record management software. Patrol Position
Adams County is a community-oriented office seeking motivated, career-minded officers who will be responsible for performing a variety of duties involving the enforcement of state and local laws and ordinances. They will be required to respond to calls of service, conduct criminal and non-criminal investigations; make arrests and to perform other assigned law enforcement and public safety duties. Deputies will be required to conduct investigation of crimes, accidents, enforcing traffic regulations and perform a variety of technical and administrative tasks.
