Road and Bridge is responsible for maintaining all county jurisdiction roads in the county. There are 372 miles of county jurisdiction roads in Adams County of which about 60 miles are paved. We maintain most of them year round, summer maintenance and winter snow removal. There are some that do not have winter maintenance because no one lives on them. We also maintain numerous roads through a co-op for the Forest Service. We maintain all of the infrastructure under the road surface, bridges, box culverts and metal and plastic culverts. We take care of the road signs, guardrail, vegetation in the right of way, cattle guards, blading gravel roads and pavement preservation as well as emergency work 24/7 365.

Idaho Transportation Department manages all state highways and provides cameras along the highways. In addition to providing information for travelers, the cameras are useful for road work, accidents and road conditions. Our mechanics maintain our fleet of equipment and vehicles as well as most other department vehicles. Adams County Road and Bridge has 13 full time employees.
